During practice on Tuesday night we burst a water hose and lost the whole dry session. On Thursday the roads were slightly damp and we ended up 2nd on the night but 7th overall. The MV was flying but a little down on speed on the works Suzukis. We were confident that with a small gearing change we could get the best possible start to the Isle of Man campaign which traditionally starts with the North West 200 races. Come race day the circuit is around 8 miles after the warm up lap. There was a 7 Minute wait on the line and when Martin put the MV into gear the engine stalled at the drop of the flag and the clutch had stuck shut it would not allow Martin to find a neutral or stop the rear wheel turning, so we did not even get off the line.
However we now know the MV is stable flys well and does not have any nasty habits on the roads so roll on June 4th in the Isle of Man
