Chris McCauley (aka Nevermore)
Chris McCauley (Nevermore) was critically injured in a crash at Willow Springs Raceway, during a WSMC race on Sunday, April 15. He was flown via helicopter to UCLA Medical Center and placed on life support.

Chris' injuries were extensive - C1 vertebrae fracture, pelvis fracture, brain damage, arm fracture.

At around noon, he was removed from life support.

Chris McCauley passed today. He leaves a wife and three children (son & two daughters).

God this is terrible! I did not know him personally, but my conolences to the family. It is so tragic when people have their life cut short doing what they like to do. You will be missed.

What an awful shame. I think it was an American, Oliver Herford who was quoted as saying : 'Only the good die young' Chris was a genuine nice guy. A very, very sad day.

i live in Italy,very far to USA,but Chris sent to me some photos few month ago...... I think we lost a very nice guy...I have no words..... pier

I was my understanding he did not have a helmet on. HELMETS SAVE LIVES!!

Helmet or not, his wife and three kids are still suffering. He was at Willow Springs on the track, trust me he had a helmet on. It would be better to leave your bonehead comment in your mind and not polluting a memorial thread. God speed Chris
