MVAgusta.net at Legend of the Motorcycle, Saturday May 3rd, 2008
In less than 2 weeks, the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, California, will be hosting the Legend of the Motorcycle (Website) with MV Agusta and Norton as the featured marques. This glorious event is set on the fairways against the beautiful coastline. If you are an MV Agusta enthusiast, this is an event to attend. In attendance will be Claudio Castiglioni (President of MV Agusta), Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read, and many others from the industry. There will be be MV Agusta Motorcycles from the entire lifespan of production. Tickets are $50 in advance, $65 at the door.

Leading up to the event, the Legend of the Motorcycle has organized a private motorcycle ride with the legend, Agostini, and others. There is one space available for a charity auction on eBay.com.

MVAgusta.net is happy to announce that we have our own space on the lawn for MV Agusta Motorcycles that wish to join us for our ride into half moon bay. We will start promptly at 8am from Downtown Saratoga at the 76 gas station (Map). We urge you to be at the location BY 8am on Saturday, May 3rd. We will leave little buffer in order to get to the event at approximately 9:30 or so. Our route will head up highway 9, go north on highway 35 skyline, and stop at Alices around 8:30-8:45. For those coming from the Peninsula and North Bay, you are welcome to join us here. We will then promptly head down La Honda 84 to Highway 1, and go North into Half Moon Bay.

Our list includes over 20 MV Agusta motorcycles from all over California. If you wish to join, you may simply show up or contact us with questions. We do ask that you add yourself to the list in the forum thread. If you are not a member or do not wish to post, please use the contact us (link above) to let us know you are coming so we know what to expect!

Note: Since our group parking for MVs will be in a special area on the grass/green, it is recommend you bring a kickstand pad to put your kickstand on to be on the safe side

Two questions: Are non-MV riders welcomed on the ride to HMB? I may have a few friends who would like to travel down. Does parking on the green mandate the bike remain there the entire day? I may want to leave early. Thanks, John

Non MV riders are welcome, but the parking is just for MV. They can split on the way into the hotel where there will be parking along the street there. I don't think being there mandates the bike be there the entire day. It's right near the road/path out, so just hop on and head out. You won't be going through any displays on the way off the green.
