Julian Bivins to attempt World Land Speed Record at Bonneville on 312R
Local rider and motorcycle enthusiast Julian Bivins will be traveling to the famed Bonneville Salt Flats this year to attempt a world land speed record on his brand new, Euro Motorsports backed, MV Agusta F4-1000R "312". Set for September 2nd -6th, Julian will compete in the BUB Series at the "flats."No stranger to the salt Julian got bit by the land speed bug last year in which he ran a "bone stock" 2006 K1200GT in the Run What You Brung portion of the week at an astounding 157 mph.

Legend of the Motorcycle to feature MV Agusta and Norton for 2008
The call for entries for the third annual Legend of the Motorcycle: International Concours d'Elegance is now open. The 2008 featured marques will be MV Agusta and Norton. Currently they are seeking MV Agusta models produced up to 1977. The factory will be present with current models. MV Agusta Exhibit at Stamford Museum (Stamford, CT)
Transportation meets art in "The Motorcycle, Italian Style: Riding the Curves with MV Agusta," which opens at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center on Saturday, Sept. 8. A special Members Preview Reception will be held Friday, September 7 at 5:30 p.m. This exhibition is made possible with support from the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism.This vintage motorcycle exhibition traces the MV Agusta brand from its World War II inception to today. More than 30 bikes, most from the Classic era (1945-1980), will be on display throughout the Bendel Mansion Museum Galleries until Jan. 6, 2008.

BMW Motorrad acquires company Husqvarna Motorcycles
BMW Motorrad will acquire the reknowned off-road motorcycle company Husqvarna Motorcycles. The President of MV Agusta Group, Claudio Castiglioni, and Dr. Herbert Diess, General Director of BMW Motorrad, signed the contract on July 19, 2007 in Varese (Italy). The contractual agreement will come into full effect upon final approval of the EU cartel authorities. Both parties agreed that the purchase price is to remain confidential.

MV Agusta hits the Australian Superbike Championship
MV Agusta has finally made its much anticipated debut into the Australian Superbike Championship at the double-header Queensland Raceway round over the weekend. Team riders Brendan Clarke and Craig Trinder impressed the record breaking 12,500 fans with consistent results and a very professional team set-up.Piloting MV Agusta’s revolutionary F4 R 312, Queensland local Brendan Clarke had a consistent weekend with two 11th place finishes on Saturday’s round six, and a 12th and 11th on Sunday’s round seven. While it was a debut for MV Agusta in the Superbike class, it was also the first time in the big league for Brendan. After years spent in the Supersport Class, the move to Superbikes was a daunting one.

Nine Wins, From Nine Starts for MV Team
Brendan Clarke clean sweeps the Broc Parke’s Cup and Yamaha East Coast SeriesRiding his ground-breaking MV Agusta F41000R, Brendan Clarke kicked the weekend off with an intimidating pole position in Saturday’s Broc Parke’s Cup at Sydney’s Oran Park on May 19-20. “I’m stoked to put the MV on pole,” said an elated Clarke. “Especially, seeing as we didn’t have any practice time due to rain on Friday. I basically headed out there with the bike set-up for QLD raceway, and felt pretty comfortable on it (the bike) from the get-go.”For the short, six-lap race Clarke stamped his authority, smoking the field for his first victory of the weekend.
