Bonneville Land Speed Record Update #11
Well the fat lady has sung! We had the battle of battles and beauty won over age this year. We did everything imaginable to find out where we had lost at least 10% of our power from the day we set the record and since the second day we were certain it was our o2 sensors that control fuel to the motor. If we had had access to the motor control system we could have fixed it. We never got the software to operate the system. We ordered two new o2 sensors and were sent the wrong ones. That left us in a position to rule out every other possibility, which we did.

Bonneville Land Speed Record Update #10
Well tomorrow, Sunday, it comes down to the last three hours of racing at the 2008 Bonneville Land Speed Record meet. The question tomorrow morning is...will it be age or beauty that prevails? This morning we showed up at the starting line at 8:00AM and Leslie Porterfield was there in front of us. She was first to go this time and we were second. She broke our record by 1.2 mph and now we are chasing her record of 192.8 mph. That's racing. Here we are going 190mph and it comes down to three hours and 1.2 mph.

Bonneville Land Speed Record Update #9
What a day. We still have the record, but we are really in a battle. Our arch rival is a lady named Leslie Porterfield from Dallas, Texas. This is the story of Bonneville at its finest. Right now we are literally 1 mph apart in our speeds. We still hold the edge. The attitude is friendly competition and may the fastest person win. Today we showed up at the line at exactly the same time and ran one after the other. I've attached photos on of Leslie and Rosey on the starting line. You'll also see Leslie on another bike she has here where she set a new world record of something more than 234mph. To say that we are impressed is an understatement. But that's what this place is all about. It's sportsmanship, comradeship, and everyone helping each other. It's unique in the world of motorsports.
